The forest edge.
The forest is a natural place for animals to live out their lives. In
the past Drienerlo (location of the Ledeboer park) was well known
for its abundance of Deer, pheasants and hares.
But through the growth of city is the forest edge no longer a place
where wild animals wish to reside.
At the place where the edge of the forest gives way to fields the
‘wild’ cattle grid can be found.
You could image that at night the wild animals would come here
to graze and as you walk though the forest you could get the
impression that the ‘wild’ cattle grid has a function for wild
animals.
